Scope
The first edition of the First International Workshop on the Service for Large Scale Distributed Systems, SeDiS-2011 is dedicated to the dissemination and evaluation of original contributions to the architectures, techniques, protocols, components, orchestration, choreography and development related to the Service for Large Scale Distributed Systems (LSDS) with special emphasis on Cloud, Grid, P2P and Web-based systems. The purpose of the workshop is to provide an open forum for researchers from academia and industry to present, discuss, and exchange ideas, results, and expertise in the area of electronic services for large scale distributed systems. The workshop also aims at stimulating synergies between Cloud, Grid, P2P, Web-based and Sensor Network System developer communities.

The focus of this workshop is on new architectures, methods, techniques, protocols, components and tools related to the Services for Large Scale Distributed System. These may include, but are not limited to the following topics:

Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit research and application papers following the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the IEEE formatting web page.

We solicit the submission of academic workshop papers (6 pages) representing original, previously unpublished work. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Papers should be prepared as the .pdf files and submitted electronically to the EIDWT 2011 online submission system (The workshop title should be selected). Submission of the paper implies that should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must REGISTER and present the paper at the workshop.

Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance. Proceedings of the Workshops will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press.
