The progress of emerging engineering devices requires an in-depth knowledge and good understanding of the transport processes through various complex geometry passages. At various stages of studying these engineering applications, one comes across mathematical problems irrespective of the engineering discipline. Quite often, because of the complexity of the mathematical problems of these Engineering applications, their analytical solutions are difficult. As an alternative to the analytical solutions, there are computational methods for solving such mathematical problems. The problems associated with the fluid flow, energy and concentration have now become the subject of international debate in finding complete solution. Scientists together Engineers play vital role in analyzing complete solution of Navier-Stokes equations and developing new computational techniques for physically correct solutions.
Computational Methods are an evolutionary field from continuum to discrete fluid mechanics. These methods are developed using numerical methods, that are applicable to scientific and engineering problems in fluid mechanics, micro and bio fluids, fluid-structure interaction, and other related disciplines, such as computational fluid dynamics, Convective heat and mass transfer problems, turbulent flows, laminar flows etc.
Convective heat and mass transfers are encountered in various domains, including heat exchangers, electric and microelectronics cooling, automotive and aerospace, air conditioning, fuel cells cooling, building engineering as well as conversion of renewable energy.
In the context of the above, the objective of “International Conference on Computational Heat and Mass Transfer (ICCHMT)” is to bring together researchers in a forum to exchange innovative ideas, methods and results, and visions of the future related to the general theme of computational methods in heat and mass transfer.
Theme of the conference :
The conference is broad in scope and provides a forum for specialists in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics from all corners of the globe to present the latest progress and developments in the field and to foster an environment conducive to exchanging ideas and information. The broad scope brings together a wide range of research areas in mathematics and allied fields such as numerical methods, fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, computational fluid dynamics, nanotechnology, Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, any other engineering applications, etc. This will not only allow the dissemination of the state of the art, but it will serve as a catalyst for discussions on future directions and priorities in these areas. The additional purpose of this conference is to develop new collaborations and meet experts on the fundamentals, applications, and products of the mentioned fields.
This conference will focus on a presentation and discussion of analytical, numerical and experimental methods used in the study of the fundamental researches and applications in convective heat and mass transfer. In particular, this special issue focuses on the latest advances in numerical and computational modeling of convective transport phenomena through complex geometry passages. Original research articles as well as review articles on CFD methods and their applications are welcomed in this special issue.
