Please join us May 14th and 15th at our 9th Annual Corporate Partners Meeting at Carnegie Mellon University. This is our popular industry outreach, networking and recruiting event. If you are interested in finding out more about what we are doing, working with us, meeting like-minded corporate professionals or recruiting highly skilled learning engineers and researchers then I would strongly encourage you to attend.
At this meeting, you and your colleagues will have one-on-one time with leading learning science researchers. You will learn about the latest learning science and educational technology tools and research underway at Carnegie Mellon University. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and recruit our current graduate students and post-docs in the learning sciences as well as our Professional Masters in Educational Technology and Applied Learning Science (METALS) students.
In Ken Koedinger's talk, you will learn how we are creating better learner outcomes through the use of learning engineering. We will describe what learning engineering is, how it closes the loop between instructional design and data, and how you can employ it. Examples will focus on how student data can be used at a micro level to immediately improve instruction and how course data can be analyzed in LearnSphere at a macro level to continuously improve instructional materials.
