IWBNA 2011 - 3rd International Workshop on Bio-molecular Network Analysis (IWBNA)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Joint workshop with the 2nd International Workshop on Protein-Protein Interaction Data: Management, Querying, and Analysis
A variety of computational techniques might be applied for effective analysis of the large-scale, complex bio-molecular networks. In particular, many research problems in current high-throughput protein protein interactome data are widely open, such as the integration of existing databases into a genome-wide map of interactions, the introduction of semantic technologies to manage, query, and analyze interaction data, the introduction of novel models to represent the spatio-temporal variation of interactome, and the integration of protein-protein interaction data with metabolic pathways, gene regulatory pathways, and transcriptome. The computational approaches in these topics will contribute to bio-medical applications such as prediction of disease-related molecules and pathways, and drug-target identification.
This joint workshop aims to bring together researchers in bioinformatics with special focus on modeling and analysis of bio-molecular networks and protein-protein interaction data. It will provide a forum to discuss state-of-the-art approaches and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations.
