Topics/Call fo Papers
The ICICLE 2019 Conference on Learning Engineering will be a gathering of professionals from industry, academia, and government featuring collaborative sessions organized by ICICLE Special Interest Groups. The event will highlight the state-of-the-art in the profession and academic discipline of Learning Engineering.
The event is organized around three questions:
What are the competencies of learning engineering?
What do we know about learning, and what does our knowledge suggest about design of learning experiences, conditions for learning, and use of supporting technologies?
How will the emerging learning engineering profession address privacy versus personalization?
Topics will include:
Roles and competencies on the learning engineering team
What policy/culture changes are needed
Defining “adaptive” learning
Masters curriculum for learning engineering
Integrating learning engineering into Your organization
The role of the learner in an AI-augmented learning process
Competencies for learning engineers who design learning experiences
Why you need learning engineering
Data as a tool for learning engineering
Learning engineering tools, approaches, technology and data standards
Organizations ensuring that what they do and create reflects what we know about how people learn
Real stories of what people learned in real projects
Engineering personalized learning experiences
Emerging technologies: AI, adaptive, learning analytics, xReality, blockchain, 5G, and more
