CIST 2012 - 2012 Colloquium in Information Science and Technology (CIST)
Topics/Call fo Papers
CIST’2012 is part of the IEEE CONFERENCE SERIES that are held in Morocco, and is co-sponsored by the IEEE Morocco Section and the IEEE Morocco Computer & Communication Joint Chapter. The 2012 edition will be held in Fez, Morocco from the 24 to the 26 of October 2012.
After holding in fez the second edition of the Information and Communication Technologies International Symposium (ICTIS'07) and the third IEEE International Conference on Research Challenges in Information Science (RCIS'09), the IEEE Colloquium in Information Science and Technology is emerging as a key annual event that aims to serve as a forum to promote the exchange of the latest advances achieved by IT researchers, IT decision makers, IT managers, application designers and software engineers in the domain of computer based information and communication sciences. Computing challenges, conceptual models, implementation techniques and tools, applications architectures, and IT solutions will be discussed from the perspectives of academia, businesses, industry and government. The 2012 edition will also include tutorials and keynote sessions from world class speakers.
CIST’2012 will also provide a platform for supporting innovative and original contributions. The Technical English Committee will help bringing the accepted papers to the standards required by journals with a good impact factor.
CIST’2012 will include presentations of contributed papers, posters and state-of-the-art lectures by invited keynote speakers.
TOPICS
We solicit submission of original ideas and papers describing significant results and developments from both researchers and practitioners in a specific range of fields addressing the following topics:
Requirement Engineering and Information Modeling Concepts
Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Modeling
Databases, Datawarehousing, Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence
Ambient Intelligence, Cloud computing, SOA, distributed architectures and applications
Social Context and Learning Environments
Systems and methodologies for Learning / Teaching and Assessement
Web Information Systems and Ontologies
Information System Engineering and Cross-Disciplinary Applications

The IEEE CIST'12 is organized over three days (October 24-26) with key lectures, shorter communications and poster sessions. Accepted papers will be published in the proceeding in the IEEE Xplore Library. Furthermore, Authors of high quality papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work for potential publication in a special issue/section of an international journal.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Paper submission: May 4, 2012
Notification of acceptance: June 11, 2012
Submission of camera-ready papers: July 3, 2012
Author registration: August 6, 2012
