UCDW2 2011 - User-Centric Data Warehouses Workshop (UCDW2 2011)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Creating adaptive systems becomes increasingly attractive in the context of specific groups of users, such as in decision support systems. OLAP analyses are at the core of Data Warehousing systems since they promise managers to autonomously carry out complex queries in real-time. They could require a non-negligible effort to find out the useful information. The main goal is then to increase expressivity and to reduce the effort in describing what would be returned according to user interest.
UCDW2 is intended to bring together researchers, developers, and users working on issues related to User-Centric Data Warehouses, and more generally User-Centric Information Systems regarding modeling, data integration, on-line analysis, security, performance, etc.
The workshop includes the following topics (but not limited to):
User Modeling in Data Warehouses
Context Modeling in Data Warehouses
Query contextualization
Personalization of On Line Analytical Processing
User Profile Mining
User Interface for Visualizing Data in Data Warehouses
Personalized visualization
Data Privacy and Data Security in Data Warehouses
User-based Performance Optimization
Recommendation in Data Warehouses
Query Recommendation
Social Network and Data Warehouses
User-centric Information Systems
User-centric data warehouse applications (medical, spatial, web warehousing, etc.)
etc.
Submissions
Submissions have to be submitted directly on the dedicated website (Easychair.org): Submit a paper
Instructions for authors
Papers must be in English, formatted in LNCS style and submitted as PDF file. All contributions have at most 14 pages. Submitted papers must be original and not submitted or accepted for publication in any other workshop, conference, or journal. Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two Program Committee members. At least one author of each accepted paper will have to register for the workshop. In case of failing to do so, the accepted paper will not appear in the proceedings.
The best workshop papers will be selected and proposed to be included in the Springer LNCS volume together with accepted papers from the main ADBIS conference.
All other accepted papers of the workshop will be included in additional proceedings published in CEUR-Workshop proceedings (http://ceur-ws.org ? indexed by DBLP).
