ISPIM 2011 - The 4th ISPIM Innovation Symposium - Managing Innovation for Sustained Productivity: Creating Advantage and Resilience
Topics/Call fo Papers
Innovation creates organizational competitive advantage and resilience in the face of change and unpredictable shocks. By enabling innovation to permeate products, processes, services, modes of organising and business models, organizations can evolve and adapt to generate long-term sustainable positions in markets and nations. But how should we support and integrate productive innovation into all facets of organisational life to cope with the ever-changing future whilst still satisfying immediate market and stakeholder demands?
Innovation is not confined, however, just to the private sector and given the symposium’s capital city location as we will also explore managing innovation for sustained productivity in the public and not-for-profit sectors, including developments in the field of social innovation. We welcome alternative perspectives in the examination of the potential benefits we well as conflicts in focusing innovation policy and practice on driving both sustained productivity and building resilient communities, regions and societies.
Submissions from academic, research, industry, intermediary and policy organisations are strongly encouraged and should focus on the following:
Innovation for productivity & resilience (event focus)
Collaboration for innovation (inc. Open innovation)
Culture & team management in innovation
Entrepreneurship, venturing, business models & financing innovation
Innovation and SMEs
Innovation training & education
Methods & tools for innovation
Networks & clusters of innovation
Organisational creativity & idea generation
Public sector & social innovation and policy
