The 2011 IEEE IVMSP (Image, Video, and Multidimensional Signal Processing Technical Committee) on “Perception and Visual Signal Analysis” will be held on June 15-17, 2011 in Ithaca, New York. The venue is Cornell University in the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes region. Waterfalls and gorges are just a five-minute stroll from the workshop location. Attendees are encouraged to spend the weekend after the workshop exploring the area together, through optional social events highlighting the natural beauty, culture, and food of the region.
The goal of the workshop is to bring together researchers and engineers working on perceptually motivated image and video analysis problems from a broad range of communities around the world in a small, interactive setting to promote and facilitate deep thought and collaboration. The IVMSP Workshop will feature prominent plenary speakers from the signal processing and human perception community, invited tutorial/review presentations, as well as contributed technical papers, presented as posters or oral presentations.
Topics for the DSP Workshop include, but are not limited to:
Perceptual and mathematical models for image and video analysis
Visual perception models in computer graphics
Perceptual approaches to computational photography
Computer vision, visualization, and graphics
Texture and perception of materials
Feature extraction, pattern analysis, and object recognition
Human visual system modeling and psychology
Saliency, eye movements, and visual attention
Telepresence, immersive systems, and interactive environments
Art and aesthetics
Other related topics
Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit double-column papers of no more than six (6) pages including title, authors’ names and contact, abstract, introduction, background, proposed method, results, figures, and references. Submission instructions and templates for the required paper format are available at www.ivmsp2011.org.
Paper Review
The paper review will include a round of revisions/responses from authors to reviewers
