48th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and 28th Chinese Control Conference

Invitation to the combined 48th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control
and 28th Chinese Control Conference
The combined 48th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and 28th Chinese Control Conference will be held Wednesday through Friday, December 16-18, 2009 in Shanghai, China. This will be the third time that CDC has been held outside the United States in the Asia-Pacific region, and it is the first the IEEE Control Systems Society has chosen to hold its flagship conference in China. The CDC/CCC will be held in the Shanghai International Convention Center, one of the signature buildings in the new Pudong District.

The annual IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) is internationally recognized as the premier scientific and engineering conference dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of systems and control. The CDC brings together an international community of researchers and practitioners to discuss new research results, perspectives on future developments, and innovative applications relevant to decision making, automatic control, and related areas.

The combined CDC/CCC will feature the presentation of contributed and invited papers, as well as tutorial sessions and workshops. Plenary speakers will include Roger W. Brockett and P.R. Kumar, and the 2009 Bode Prize Lecture will be delivered by Peter Caines.

The combined CDC and CCC is hosted by the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) in collaboration with the Technical Committee on Control Theory(TCCT) of the Chinese Automation Association. It is organized in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the Japanese Society for Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE), and the European Union Control Association (EUCA).
