CoNSH 2019 - First International Workshop on Computing and Networking for Smart Healthcare (CoNSH)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The first International Workshop on Computing and Networking for Smart Healthcare (CoNSH) will be held in conjunction with ICDCN 2019 (https://events.csa.iisc.ac.in/icdcn2019) in Bangalore, India, from January 4-7, 2019.
The goal of the CoNSH workshop is to accelerate the design, development and integration of innovative computing and networking approaches to support the transformation of health and medicine including networking, pervasive computing, advanced analytics, sensor integration, privacy and security, modeling of socio-behavioral and cognitive processes, systems biology, and system and process modeling. We welcome research that is rich in theory and potential applications, addressing issues such as low-birth weight prediction and classification, modeling infectious diseases for early prevention and vaccination strategies, and early detection of epileptic seizures, to name a few. Effective solutions must satisfy a multitude of constraints arising from clinical/medical needs, barriers to change, heterogeneity of data, semantic mismatch and limitations of current cyberphysical systems and an aging population. We seek cross-disciplinary collaborative research that will lead to new fundamental insights and encourage empirical validation, performance evaluation and experimentation of new concepts through research prototypes, ranging from specific components to entire systems.
CoNSH 2019 aims at providing an international forum for researchers addressing these challenges. CoNSH 2019 will combine original full paper presentations with a motivating keynote to thoroughly explore this challenging topic.
Papers should be at most 6 pages, including title, abstract, figures and references, and not published or under review elsewhere. Papers should be prepared as per ACM conference proceedings format.
All accepted workshop full papers will be included in the ACM Digital Library. Extended versions of selected accepted papers will be invited to submit to the Elsevier Pervasive and Mobile Computing journal.
