globalhealth 2011 - 38th Annual International Conference on Global Health
Topics/Call fo Papers
We are making some changes to our abstract submission forms this year and are running a little behind schedule. We apologize for that - we have heard from many of you who are eager to get started on writing and submitting abstracts!
Therefore, we are putting up information to help guide you in working on your abstracts. We encourage you to read through the information - for example, this year, we are emphasizing results-oriented research and program evaluation, so having at least preliminary results specifically stated in the abstract is essential. Also, please read over our theme for this year. Although the inclusion of the theme is not a requirement for abstracts (and will not be an element on which they are reviewed), our overall goal is to have a cohesive conference.
Important Information
Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract to the Global Health Council’s 38th Annual International Conference on Global Health.
Once submitted, the abstracts will be reviewed internally by Global Health Council staff and then by the Program Review Committee, which will make the final determination as to whether an abstract is accepted. This Committee will be comprised of global health experts with experience in research; program implementation, monitoring and evaluation; service delivery; health care provision; and other relevant areas.
Each year, we receive about 1,000 abstracts and accept less than 300 ? the selection process is very competitive. Please read the requirements before submitting an abstract, as they will give you ideas for making your abstract more competitive.
This year, the Global Health Council is accepting the following abstract types:
Individual research abstracts
Individual program evaluation abstracts
New Investigators in Global Health (NIGH) abstracts
Complete panel containing 3-4 abstracts from different individuals and organizations
Selected abstracts may be presented in the following ways:
