IWSC 2018 - 2nd International Workshop on Social Computing: Spatial Social Behavior Analytics in Urban Society
Topics/Call fo Papers
In the past, people just utilize social network platforms to distribute their news or opinions. But now, people has been influenced by social interaction in their daily life decision, e.g., travel, flight booking, hotel recommendation, purchase of products, etc.. These purchase activities are highly related to people’s social communications as well as the locations where they are living. The popularity of smartphone usage provides the convenient way for companies to know their customers’ locations. When the online social users’ interaction meets with the availability of their locations, the new commercial strategy will be fired up. However, there is no such event to discuss these issues together. This proposed workshop will provide a great opportunity for researchers and practitioners to understand their challenging problems and discuss the future techniques in this area. Therefore, the workshop is timely and significant for social media, big data and the web from the academic and industry communities.
