Dear Colleagues
ICCES (International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences) was initially founded in 1986 as ICCM (International Conference on Computational Mechanics) by Professors Satya N Atluri and Genki Yagawa, to become a forum for then burgeoning discipline of Computational Mechanics. It was the first such international conference. It was held in 1986 at the Tokyo University of Science, under the leadership of the legendary academicians: Professor Hiroshi Miyamoto of Tokyo University of Science, his student Professor Masanori Kikuchi of the same university, and Professor Genki Yagawa of the University of Tokyo.
Following the International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences (ICCES2019), symposia and workshops on a variety of current topics will be held on March 25-28, 2019. We sincerely invite researchers interested in creating and chairing one of the symposia or workshops to submit proposals. Workshop and symposia organizers have several responsibilities, including coordinating workshop/symposia participation and content, publicizing and providing the program in a timely manner and moderating the program throughout the symposia or workshop.
Potential Symposium/Workshop topics range from Nanoscience and Technology; Nanostructured Materials; Engineering, Biology and Medicine; Bio-MEMS/Bio-NEMS/Labs-on-Chips/Life-Chips, Complex Engineering Systems; Molecular and Cellular Biomechanics; Computers, Materials, & Continua; Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences; Sustainability, Environment, & Climate; Disaster Prevention & Control; Computational Biology, Biomechanics and Bioengineering; Meshless and Novel Computational Methods; Soft Computing and Fuzzy Logic, etc., as well as any other topic relevant to an appreciable fraction of the ICCES series.
Symposia
The goal of the symposia is to present topical material on a single broad theme, well suited to the main conference audience. The theme should be on an established topic of wider interest to the ICCES2019. A typical format for a symposium would be a brief introduction to the topic followed by talks giving presentation of state of the art results in the area and current directions of research.
Workshops
The goal of the workshops is to provide an informal forum for researchers to discuss important research questions and challenges. Controversial issues, open problems, and comparisons of competing approaches are encouraged as workshop topics.
Extended Abstract/Short papers/Summaries
1-4 page extended abstract (short paper) at ICCES2019 will be published in ICCES online, and made freely available to world community. Outstanding extended abstract (short paper) will be invited to be published in CMES, CMC, FDMP, MCB or SDHM after being extended to normal length papers.
Submission Instructions
Registration on http://tspsubmission.com/index.php/icces is required to submit an Extended Abstract/Short papers/Summaries. You may select the symposium section you are interested in.
Interested parties must submit a proposal by August 30, 2018, 00:00:00. Deadline for extended abstract/short papers/summaries is December 30, 2018, 00:00:00.
ICCES does not provide travel funding for workshop or symposia speakers.
