NetComposites 2011 - NetComposites factory visit to Exel Composites
Topics/Call fo Papers
Composites UK are delighted to announce a new series of events for the composites industry. Factory visits are half-day events designed to give the delegate an introduction into manufacturing in the UK. There will be a short technical presentation followed by a tour of the facility. Nothing gives a better insight into how materials and components are made than seeing the operation in practice. Delegates will get an excellent appreciation of the scale of the process involved.
Pultrusion is a fully automated process for manufacturing standard and customised sections from composite materials. Continuous fibres in the form of roving, tape or fabric are impregnated with resin, pulled through a shaped die and cured to create a continuous profile. Pultrusions are available in standard sections as well as custom made profiles design to meet your specific requirements.
