The TrainHR webinar is approved by HRCI and SHRM Recertification Provider.
Overview: Organizational success hinges upon the capabilities of its employees. This, in turn, requires a work force that is gaining proficiency and successfully adapting and mastering the new skills required. Lack of employee development equals stagnation and eventual irrelevance.
This session will explore the topic of employee development from both the employee and the leadership/management perspective. After building a case, the session will look at the factors which foster employee development and how people actually grow in an employment context.
We will look at the concept of employee motivation and take advantage of the research which convincingly demonstrates that different people have differing motivations. Understanding the motivational make-up of an employee gives leaders a powerful tool to fully engage that employee, creating loyalty and improving performance.
Finally, the session will provide a framework and practical tool for focusing the manager/coach's efforts to provide the biggest organizational payoff. Using this tool will help align employees with organizational goals and keep required focus and attention on the growth process.
Why should you Attend: Today's organizations are under continual pressure and challenge to perform. Often, yesterday's performance levels don't meet tomorrow's expectations; similarly, we are asked to do more with less. In order to thrive in this difficult environment, we need employees who are capable of rising to the occasion. We need employees who are developing - getting better at what they do and learning how to do new things.
This session will explore the landscape of employee development, focusing on the role of the leader/manager in facilitating the process. While it is true that ultimately employees must invest in their own development, organizations and individual leaders play a critical role.
The webinar will explore the development process and provide supervisors and managers with understanding and practical tools to facilitate the growth process.
This session will provide practical guidance in adding testing as an important tool in the toolkit of assessment approaches, allowing the hiring organization to make more accurate, informed decisions while minimizing potential negative outcomes.
