ID&IS4TS 2018 - The First International Workshop on Intelligent Devices and Information Security for Transportation Systems

Intelligence devices got plenty of interest in the past decade offering a variety of applications to support Intelligent Transportation. These devices (such as IoT, smart vehicles, and Edge nodes) enhance the transportation experience by collecting, aggregating and disseminating traffic information as well as other pertinent location-based information.
The goal of this workshop is to discuss the issues concerning intelligent devices such as autonomous vehicles, drones and automated devices which are used for Intelligent Transportation Systems and its security. Due to the recent decision by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to mandate vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication technology for light vehicles, vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANET) applications will receive more attention. Further, the new communication capability added to the vehicles will create potential for significant development in the area of smart devices applications.
With the arrival of autonomous vehicles in the near future, the Intelligence and Security Information for Transportation Systems should be one of the main focus for researchers in multiple fields. Also, autonomous cars are about to emerge in the society making the need for new communication and security protocol standards an urgent task.
The workshop on Intelligent Devices and Information Security for Transportation Systems will bring together researchers from multidisciplinary fields to present and discuss recent advances in the development of intelligent devices, information security, and related technologies. The workshop will cover all theoretical and practical aspects related to applications, modeling, simulation and testbeds for intelligent devices used for Transportations. Also, the workshop will highlight and prepare on the coming topics in the ISI Conference (the Largest International Conference on Intelligence and Security).
