Call for Papers
The International Conference on Eco-Dyeing/Finishing and Green Chemistry (EDFGC), hosted by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, will be held on June 8-12, 2011, in Hangzhou, China.
The theme of EDFGC 2011 is “Innovation, Eco-Textile and Sustainability”. The conference aims to provide a platform for presenting research findings, exchanging innovative ideas, and seeking collaboration opportunities in textile dyeing/finishing and green chemistry from both academia and industry around the world.
The original manuscripts related to the science and engineering of textile dyeing/ finishing and green chemistry are invited. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
? Eco-Dyeing & Finishing
? Functional Finishes of Textiles
? Green Chemistry and Functional Chemicals
? Pollution Control and Waste Treatment
? Novel Equipment/Energy Sources and Energy conservation
? Testing Methods and Standards of Eco-Textiles
? Fundamental Research and Characterization Techniques, etc.
Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province is the epicenter of Chinese textile industry, particularly in dyeing and finishing. Its natural beauty and cultural heritage attracts thousands of tourists from worldwide every year. Surrounding Hangzhou, there are many globally well-known textile enterprises and trade centers. A few examples are a) the textile city at Shaoxing, the largest textile manufacturing and trade center in the world; b) the cradleland of silk with 5000 years history at Huzhou; c) the famous tie city with the output over 40% of the global market at Shengzhou; d) the Datong sock city with one third of global sock production and supply; e) the woolen sweater town at Puyuan, producing and supplying 40% of woolen sweaters in China; f) the No.1 global dyestuff producer (Longsheng Group); and g) the largest textile chemical manufacturer in China (Transfar Chemicals) and so on. The conference to be held in Hangzhou will offer the participants great opportunities to feel the pulse of textile research and development, manufacturing, and education in China.
We sincerely invite you, the researchers, scientists, engineers and students related to textile dyeing/finishing and green chemistry to meet in Hangzhou, to learn and exchange the latest innovations; to network with each other; to enjoy the beauty of West Lake, and to experience the booming of the textile kingdom.

Submission Details
(1) The conference only accepts the original manuscripts;
(2) All the papers should be written in English and be presented in Microsoft Word file format with a length of 3-5 pages. Please check the attachment below for detailed format required for the paper to be submitted;
(3) Paper submission deadline:Feb. 20, 2011;
(4) Each paper will be reviewed, and the accepted papers will be presented in oral or poster formats;
(5) Submission electronically: the paper and cover sheet should be submitted via e-mail: edfgc2011-AT-gmail.com
Paper Review, Publication, and Award
Every paper will be reviewed by the senior researchers’ panel, and the accepted papers will be collected in the proceedings that could be indexed in CPCI (ISTP).
The conference encourages the participation of young scientists who focus on the research of eco-dyeing/finishing of textiles and green chemistry. The excellent student papers will be awarded.

Registration fee covers the registered scientific event, a set of proceedings, and food during the conference. Tour and accommodation charges are not included.

The conference secretariat will arrange accommodation for all participants, and the fee is RMB 200-500/room.day.
The conference hotels and the transportation details will be announced soon. Transportation between the conference venue and airports for international participants can be arranged upon request.
