Topics/Call fo Papers
WELCOME TO 2011 INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON OPENSOURCE SOFTWARE FOR SCIENTIFIC COMPUTATION!
2011 International Workshop on Open-source Software for Scientific Computation will be held in August 5-7, 2011, in Beijing, China.
Background: Over the past decade, Open-source Software for Scientific Computation (OSSC) has entered a fast growing stage for both industrial and educational purposes. In apart from a variety of the general-purpose platforms on scientific computing software, more and more open-source toolboxes or toolkits are available on the web for the specific scientific computations.
The aim of OSSC 11 is to provide an international forum of exchanging the knowledge of using open-source software for scientific computation within the communities from education, academics, to industries. We expect contribution papers focusing on the development and applications of open-source software for scientific computation.
Keywords :
Open-source software, scientific computation, toolbox/toolkit for research/education, mathematical modeling, numerical methods and simulation, computational science and engineering, education and training, innovation and issues, cloud computing, embedded software.
Please note that all the papers must describe tools that are publicly available under a free software or open source license because the workshop theme is OSSC.
Note: All accepted papers of OSSC 2009 had been published by IEEE Press, which were cited by EI.
