The ubiquity of Internet, web, cloud and mobile technologies are the main driving forces behind the success and popularity of online social networks, which represent interactions and linkages among friends, families, colleagues, businesses, and organizations. Billions of users across the globe are using various social networks for various purposes. Social networks are characterised by complex network structures and architectural designs. They give rise to research challenges in different application areas such as social setup, businesses, commerce, education, healthcare, public sector and governmental organizations.
