SPATEN 2018 - 2018 International Workshop on Security and Privacy Assurance Technologies for Emerging Networks
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2018 International Workshop on Security and Privacy Assurance Technologies for Emerging Networks (SPATEN 2018) focuses on the problems of design and analysis of security, privacy, and data protection algorithms in various emerging network systems and concepts such as Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Fog Computing, Software Defined Networks, Blockchian, Cryptocurrency, etc. SPATEN 2018 will be held in conjunction with The 13th International Conference on Wireless Algorithms, Systems, and Applications (WASA 2018), June 20-22, 2018, Tianjin, China.
The workshop seeks submissions from academia, industry, and government presenting novel research, as well as experimental studies, on all theoretical and practical aspects of security, privacy, and data protection algorithms in emerging network systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Anonymity in emerging network systems
• Applied cryptography in emerging network systems
• Data and application security in emerging network systems
• Data and system integrity in emerging network systems
• Data availability in emerging network systems
• Data protection in emerging network systems
• Key management in emerging network systems
• Privacy in emerging network systems
• Secure computation over encrypted data in emerging network systems
• Security and trust metrics in emerging network systems
• Security and privacy of big data in emerging network systems
• Security and privacy policies in emerging network systems
• Threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management in emerging network systems
Publication and Special Issues
The conference proceedings will be included in Proceeding of the main conference, WASA 2018, which will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. After the conference, the extended version of selected papers will be invited for the special issues of following journals:
• EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking
• Security and Communication Networks
