SBAC-PAD is an international symposium, started in 1987, which has continuously presented an overview of new developments, applications,
and trends in parallel and distributed computing technologies. SBAC-PAD is open for faculty members, researchers, specialists and
graduate students around the world. In this edition, the symposium will be held at the École Normale Supérieure of Lyon, in France. Known
as the Gastronomy Capital, Lyon is the 2nd largest economic and industrial region in France, and has become one of the favorite
destinations for tourism in Europe. Lyon is also considered the most liveable city in France according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.
Call for Workshops
The organizers of the 30th International Symposium on Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing, that will be held in September 24-27, 2018 in Lyon, France, call for proposals for workshops to be co-located with SBAC-PAD 2018.
Workshops should provide forums for discussion among researchers and practitioners on focused topics or emerging research areas relevant to the community. Organizers may structure workshops as they see fit, including invited talks, panel discussions, presentations of work in progress, fully peer-reviewed papers, or some combination of the above.
Workshops could be scheduled for half a day or a full day, depending on interest, space constraints, and organizer preference. Organizers should design workshops for approximately 20-40 participants, to balance impact and effective discussion.
The peer-reviewed accepted papers of organized workshops will be published in the SBAC-PAD proceedings. Each paper must have at least three reviews for being eligible for publication.
