H2PTM 2011 - H2PTM 2011 : Hypertexts, Hypermedia, Products, Tools and Methods 2011
Topics/Call fo Papers
In the tradition of previous editions, the 11th conference H2PTM 2011 will bring together at the 12th, 13th and 14th of October 2011 in the university Paul Verlaine-Metz the French and international researchers to discuss last results of research and development of hypertexts and hypermedia tools in varied fields. Faithful to its multidisciplinarity’s tradition, the conference will confront researchs resulting from information and communication sciences, computer sciences, semiotics, art’ and cognitive sciences.
2011 edition has selected for main objective to approach researchs on hypertexts and hypermedia which are able to face the multiple challenges from current development of digital technologies and their uses, in particular in the following fields:
- Decentralized, collaborative and geolocalized applications;
- Intelligent Web;
- Digital identities and virtual networks;
- Digital documents;
- Digital games;
- Critical approaches of hypermedia.
Indeed, the current evolution of hypermedia raises questions which cross various approaches (sometimes in interaction):
- Technical one: mobile and composite applications, virtual ambient environments;
- Social one: increasing “hypertextualization” of communicational practices (on line publishing, interpersonal exchanges…), new virtual dimension of sociability;
- Informational one: collaborative and hypertextual writings, information retrieval (via the social or participative web…), participative “documentarization”, collaborative indexing;
- Cultural one: new kinds of games (serious games, pervasive games…), “patrimonialization” process, esthetics (webdesign, 3D interfaces…), interculturality;
- Epistemological one: how to think the digital age today? According to which new theoretical frameworks (in particular in social sciences)?
Lastly, we also wish to strengthen the opening to international researchs on hypertexts and hypermedia for this 2011 edition, in particular with invited speakers, but also by requesting the participation of cross-border networks working on hypermedia tools or fields.
The H2PTM conference targets a public of researchers and students, but also of professionals (industrial, designers, editors…) concerned by a current and future state of the art on hypertexts and hypermedia systems and their social uses.
The official languages are French and English.
We thus call with contributions in the following topics (non-exhaustive list) :
Theoretical approaches
- Formal models of hypertexts
- Hypermedia architectures
- Treatment of interfaces
- Image processing
- Users modeling
- Cognitive processes and hypermedia
- Automatic generation of hypertextual links
- Navigation and interrogation of hypertexts
- Historical approaches of hypertexts
- Critical approaches of hypertexts
- Ethics of digital age
New writings, new languages
- Authors environments
- Interactive writing
- Collaborative writing
- Hypertextual writing
- Analyzes of creative processes
- Webdesign
- Digital scientific edition
- Cooperative marking of documents
- Representation of collective
- Immersive systems
- Cognitive semiotics
- Cognitive narratology
- Hypermedia and artistic creation
- Intentionality in hypermediatic design
- Formalization of creative gestures
- Hypermedias and artificial intelligence
- Adaptive systems and interfaces
Applications and uses of multimedia and hypermedia
- Practices, appropriation and diversions of hypermedia
- Distance learning
- Digital games
- Mobile applications
- On line collaboration
- Hypermedia and scientific communication
