CA-IN-WIRELESS 2009 (2009 International Workshop on Intelligence, Context-Awareness and Autonomy in Wireless Networks)
http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~uic09/icainwireless
Wireless networks are transforming the way we access information and communicate seamlessly. Mobile users are now becoming free to move as they access computing and communication resources via these advanced wireless networks. There is an urgent need to make these rapidly evolving wireless networks more adaptive and autonomous by employing intelligent and context-aware algorithms. This workshop will focus on the recent developments in the field of Intelligence, Context-awareness and Autonomy in Wireless Networks and protocols. The Workshop will have a special focus on wireless mesh and ad hoc networks. Wireless Mesh Networks comprise of mobile clients and mostly static routers connected wirelessly, where two far away nodes communicate by requesting a number of intermediate nodes to relay their information in order to reach the destination. Wireless multi-hop networking was originally developed for military applications, but is now experiencing rapid growth in many other applications as evident from high interest in research publications, standardization efforts and commercial product offerings. The scope of this Workshop includes (but not limited to): Adaptive transport protocols for Wireless Networks, Intelligent routing, Quality of Service in Wireless Networks, Supporting Multiple Radio-interfaces, Context-awareness in Wireless Networks, Self-organization and self-configuration in Wireless Networks, Mobility management, Gateway Load Balancing and Cross-layer optimization.
