The 22nd International Conference on Developments in Language Theory (DLT 2018) will be held in Tokyo, Japan on September 10-14th, 2018. The conference is organized by Algorithmic “Oritatami” Self-Assembly Lab, The University of Electro-Communications (UEC) as part of UEC 100th Anniversary Commemorative Event.
The topics include, but are not limited to:
grammars, acceptors, and transducers for words, trees, and graphs;
algebraic theories of automata;
algorithmic, combinatorial, and algebraic properties of words and languages;
variable length codes;
symbolic dynamics;
cellular automata;
polyominoes and multidimensional patterns;
decidability questions;
image manipulation and compression;
efficient text algorithms;
relationships to cryptography, concurrency, complexity theory, and logic;
bio-inspired computing;
quantum computing
Conference proceedings is planned to be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Extended versions of selected papers from the proceedings will appear in a special issue of the International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science (IJFCS).
