The Workshop on Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents (WEHIA) is the annual conference of the Society for Economic Studies with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents. WEHIA 2018 represents a unique opportunity to present and discuss the latest research on various aspects of the economy as a complex system consisting of heterogeneous interacting agents. Research contributions from different fields - economics, psychology, sociology, computer sciences, or physics - can prove useful for better understanding of key issues such as extreme events in financial markets, production growth, unemployment and poverty, inequality in income and wealth distribution, and many others.
