Topics/Call fo Papers
25th International Symposium on Computer-Based
Medical Systems (CBMS 2012)
SPECIAL TRACK - CALL FOR PAPERS
Endoscopic Image Processing and Analysis
http://www.cbms2012.org
June 20-22, 2012, Rome, Italy
Aim and Scope
Medical endoscopy is the process whereby an optical instrument is
introduced into one or other of the body tubes or cavities so that
the organs of the body may be directly inspected.
The aim of this session is to bring together researchers in various
fields (i.e. physicians, computer scientists, and engineering
technicians) to exchange and discuss new ideas and advances in the
field of endoscopic image processing and analysis.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Computer-aided decision support systems targeted at endoscopy
- Processing and analysis of endoscopic images or videos
- Wireless capsule endoscopy applications
- Image enhancement techniques tailored to endoscopic imagery
Paper Submission
Papers have to be submitted through the CBMS web submission system,
which will be open approximately one month before the deadline.
Submissions are allowed a maximum of 6 (six) pages in IEEE
two-column format.
Papers submitted to this special track will be subject to peer-review.
Accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings in the
same length and format as regular CBMS papers.
For more details on format guidelines and submitting papers
visit http://www.cbms2012.org.
This year CBMS offers a prize to a young researcher in memory of
Prof. Ezio Catanzariti, thanks to the Italian Chapter of the IAPR
(International Association for Pattern Recognition).
The prize will consist of 500 Euro and a plaque. The application
to the prize must be done during paper submission.
