Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2012 International Symposium on Network Coding will be held in Boston, MA on Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, 2012. It will conveniently precede ISIT 2012 (MIT, July 1-6), and will be held at the same location, at MIT.
Previously unpublished contributions from a broad range of topics are solicited, including (but not limited to) the following areas:
Shannon theory and the fundamentals of network coding
Network code constructions and algorithms
Joint source/channel and network coding
Resource optimization for network coding
Inter-session network coding
Network coding for distributed storage systems and caching
Network coding for content distribution and video streaming
Implementation and deployment of network coding
A small number of invited talks will present and contrast alternative and/or interdisciplinary approaches to the following topics:
Deploying network coding on smart phones and other wireless systems
Interactions of network coding with network protocols and traffic
Secure network coding: challenges and opportunities
Index coding: combinatorial vs. information theoretic treatment
Contributions in these areas are particularly encouraged.
Important Dates
Paper Submission: February 24, 2012
Notification: May 5, 2012
Camera-Ready Due: June 4, 2012
Symposium: June 29-30, 2012
Manuscripts should be up to 6 pages and should follow the guidelines on the web page. The proceedings will appear in IEEExplore. Information regarding the symposium (including the technical and social programs, paper submission and format, registration, hotel accommodations, etc) will be posted, as it becomes available at this website.
