IFSN 2012 - The 2nd International Workshop on Frontiers of Secure Networks (IFSN-2012)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Welcome to The 2nd International Workshop on Frontiers of Secure Networks (IFSN-2012)
( July 4-th to July 6-th, 2012, Sanpaolo Palace Hotel, Palermo, Italy)
To be held in conjunction with
The Sixth International Conference on Innovative Mobile and Internet Services in Ubiquitous Computing (IMIS-2012)
( IMIS 2012 )
http://voyager.ce.fit.ac.jp/conf/imis/2012/cfp.htm...
With the rapid proliferation and growing increasing running complexity on large-scale, highly distributed networked systems that operate upon unbounded communication networks, such as the Internet, it is ever more challenging to provide resilience, dependability, fault tolerant, security , trust and privacy to malicious attacks, accidental failures, and unexpected harvest working environments. Meeting the challenges is essential to the well being of corporations, individuals, governments, and our global economy.
Scope
The IFSN-2012 workshop seeks high-quality research contributions in the form of well developed papers. Topics of interest encompass research advances in dependable computing and secure communications in communication networks. The IFSN-2012 workshop serves as a venue for learning about state-of-the-art advancements in theoretical and practical aspects of Dependability, Resiliency, Fault tolerance, Security, Trust and Privacy research in large scale computer and communication networks. Research papers on system level work for network devices, including building high performance core router, network intrusion detection system, firewalls and other network devices are especially welcome. This workshop will also invite famous researchers and scientists for presentations on cutting-edge research topics.
IFSN-2012 topics include but are not limited to the following areas
- Internet Dependability and Quality of Service
- Dependability of High-Speed Networks and Protocols
- Adaptable, Survivable and Intrusion-Tolerant Systems
- Fault-Tolerance in Distributed Systems
- Security, Trust & Privacy in Internet
- Security, Trust & Privacy in Wireless, Mobile Ad Hoc and Sensor networks
- Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Firewalls, Packet Filters
- Secure Routing, Naming/Addressing, Network Management in Communication Networks
- Security, Trust & Privacy for emerging technologies: Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing,
peer-to-peer and overlay network systems
Submission and Publication Information
The accepted papers from this workshop will be published by IEEE Computer Society (indexed by EI Compendex and ISTP). Papers should be written in English conforming to the IEEE standard conference format (8.5" x 11", Two-Column) [http://www.computer.org/portal/pages/cscps/cps/cps...]. Papers should be submitted through the paper submission system at the symposium website [https://cmt2.research.microsoft.com/IFSN2012/] or emailed to the Program Chair(ifsn.netlab(at)gmail.com). Each paper is limited to 6 pages (or 8 pages with over length charge). The program committee will select the Best Paper Awards for this workshop. Submitting a paper to the workshop means that, if the paper is accepted, at least one author should attend the symposium and present the paper. For no-show authors, their papers will be removed from the digital library after the symposium and their affiliations will be notified.
Special Issues in SCI-indexed Journals
Distinguished selected papers accepted and presented in IFSN-2012, after further extensions, will be published in special issues of the following Journals indexed by SCI:
COMPUTING AND INFORMATICS (CAI)
Journal of Computer Systems, Networks, and Communications (Pending)
Computers & Mathematics with Applications(Elsevier, IF > 1)
