HOPL-IV 2020 - Fourth ACM SIGPLAN History of Programming Languages Conference
Topics/Call fo Papers
As with its predecessors, HOPL-IV aimed to produce an accurate historical record of programming language design and development. To achieve this goal, the Program Committee worked closely with prospective authors to help ensure that the all the papers were of high quality. As with HOPL-I and II, there were two rounds of reviewing to ensure that all the selected papers met requirements for both technical accuracy and historical completeness.
We provided prospective authors with a detailed set of Author Guidelines. Because of the complex nature of the history of programming languages, there was no a priori upper bound on the length of submitted papers. As usual for SIGPLAN-sponsored conferences, papers awaiting acceptance to any other conference or journal were not eligible for HOPL-IV. The HOPL-IV proceedings were available in electronic format at the conference and can be found in the ACM Digital Library.
