Distributed 2011 - Special Session on Distributed Software Development: Technical, Organizational and Social Challenges
Topics/Call fo Papers
Special Session on
Distributed Software Development: Technical, Organizational and Social Challenges
Chair: Hamid Mcheick, Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Canada
http://www.acc-rajagiri.org/distributed.html
CALL FOR PAPERS
Distributed Software Development allows team members to be located in various remote sites during the software lifecycle, thus making up a network of distant sub-teams. While offering the potential of increased productivity, distributed development also introduces new risks. Coordinating distributed teams requires overcoming a range of software engineering issues that arise where sites are separated by time zones, languages, and cultures. The goal of this special session is to provide an opportunity for researchers and industry practitioners to explore both the state-of-the art and the state-of-the-practice in Distributed Software Development.
Technical papers describing original, previously unpublished results are solicited from software engineers, computer scientists, business process engineers, and project managers in all areas of distributed software development. Authors are invited to submit papers through EDAS Conference Management System (http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=9485&track=11737). The proceedings of the conference will be published by Springer in the series of Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS). CCIS is abstracted/indexed in ISI Proceedings and Scopus. The Proceedings of ACC2011 will also be included in the CCIS electronic book series hosted in the SpringerLink digital library. Authors can confirm the Springer Author Guidelines at the following web page: LNCS Format. Only PDF files will be accepted and reviewed. All the accepted papers of this special session will be published in the conference proceedings.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited:
Agent-Based Distributed Software Development
Agile Global Software Development
Application Knowledge Migration and Management
Approaches and Tools for Context-Aware Development
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing in Software Development
Communication Models for Distributed Software Development Teams
