Topics/Call fo Papers

We intend KR2012 to be a forum for the exchange of new ideas, issues, and results relating to the principles and practice of KR&R
systems. We encourage papers presenting substantial new results on the principles of KR&R systems that clearly contribute to the
formal foundations or show the applicability of the results to implemented or implementable systems. We also encourage "reports from
the field" of applications, experiments, developments, and tests. Such papers should be explicitly identified as reports from the field by
the authors, to ensure appropriate reviewing, and must include a section on evaluation.
Conference Site
The conference will be held at Angelicum -- Pontifical University Saint Thomas Aquinas, in Largo
Angelicum, 1 ? 00184 Rome. Angelicum (http://www.angelicum.org/) is a small theological university
run by the Vatican, founded in 1580. This historical building, with a beautiful cloister and a private
garden, is located on the border of Quirinale Hill, overlooking the Roman Forum.
The conference site is in a very central area. It is located within a 5 min walk from the Forum, Piazza
Venezia, Quirinale, and a 15 min walk from Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, and the main train
station (Termini). The area, which is called “Rione Monti” is highly historical, beautiful, and not too
busy, being slightly off the typical touristic routes. The area is served by buses, metro, and taxis.
Conference Structure
The conference will be held on June 10 - 13, 2012 (tentative) and will include a mix of plenary
sessions, parallel sessions, and poster sessions. Coffee, tea, and lunch breaks (provided) will be
served outdoors in the cloister of the Angelicum. A welcome reception will be held in the garden of
the Angelicum on June 9th evening. The social dinner will be held on the second day of the conference.
Associated Workshops
Associated workshops will be held just before or just after the conference. They will be hosted in
the classrooms of Dipartimento di Informatica e Sistemistica in via Ariosto 25 ? 00185 Rome (close to
the Colosseum). This fully renovated site has been the new home of the department since June
2007, and it is equipped with a beautiful Aula Magna with 100 seats, and several classrooms, equipped
with video-projectors and large black boards, ranging from 40 to 80 seats.
Interested workshops are invited to contact Giuseppe De Giacomo (degiacomo-AT-dis.uniroma1.it) or Marco
Schaerf (schaerf-AT-dis.uniroma1.it).
