ASYNC-2012 Call for Papers
18th IEEE International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems
May 7-9, 2012
Copenhagen, Denmark
The International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems (ASYNC) is the premier forum for researchers to present their latest findings in the area of asynchronous design. This year ASYNC is co-located with the 6th ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Networks-on-Chip (NOCS 2012). The two symposia will be hosted by DTU Informatics at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen.
Authors are invited to submit full papers on any aspect of asynchronous design, ranging from the core topics of design, synthesis, and test, to asynchronous applications in system-level integration and emerging computing technologies. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
?Mixed-timed circuits, GALS systems, Network-on-Chip, and multi-chip interconnects
?Elastic and latency-tolerant synchronous design
?Synchronization, arbitration, and metastability
?Asynchronous pipelines, architectures, CPUs, and memories
?Asynchronous ultra-low power systems, energy harvesting, and mixed-signal/analogue
?Asynchrony in emerging technologies, including bio, neural, nano and quantum computing
?CAD tools for asynchronous design, synthesis, analysis, and optimization
?Formal methods for verification and performance/power analysis
?Test, security, and fault tolerance
?Asynchronous variability-tolerant design and design for manufacturing
?Circuit designs, case studies, comparisons, and applications
Papers should not exceed EIGHT (8) pages in IEEE double-column conference format (single-spaced, 10pt or larger font size). Papers must be submitted anonymously according to the instructions provided on the submission website. Papers will be evaluated by the program committee in a blind review process on the basis of scientific merit, innovation, relevance, and presentation. New idea and new topic papers are strongly encouraged. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE digital library and in the conference proceedings distributed at the symposium.
This year we are also soliciting proposals for special sessions, tutorials and panels. A special session on any of the above topics can be proposed, and we especially encourage proposals in the areas of emerging technologies, including bio-inspired computing. Please see the proposal submission page for details.
