Topics/Call fo Papers

IEEE topical meeting on microwave photonics has been a premier conference in the field of microwave photonics. It covers the topics of interaction between optics and microwaves, optical ways of generating microwaves to terahertz signals and optical processing. The conference scopes are:

Devices, Components and Systems
High speed photonic broadband devices, integration technologies for microwave photonic devices, optically controlled photonic and electromagnetic structures up to Terahertz, hybrid and chip level integration of photonic and microwave components, signal processing techniques of spectrum synthesis, optical ADC, optical probing and sensing microwave properties, bio-photonic sensors.

System and Applications
Radio over fiber system, PON based systems, microwave photonic technologies for biomedical applications, subcarrier multiplexed and optical distribution of voice, data and video signals, optical technologies for high frequency wireless system and UWB systems, microwave and millimetre wave signal generation, optically millimetre wave circuits, nano-photonics based integrated sensor system, innovative application of microwave photonics.

Paper manuscripts should be submitted to the conference website (http://www.mwp2011.org). Only accepted and presented papers will appear in IEEE Xplore. The aim of this conference is to foster interactions among broad disciplines in the microwave photonics family. The conference will provide a platform for international academics, researchers, practitioners and students, working in the photonics areas applied to microwave and millimetre wave, to discuss new developments, concepts and practices, and to identify synergies in research directions that will lead to broader and deeper applications of microwave photonics.
