MECH 2012 - The 36th Mechanisms and Robotics International Conference
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 36th Mechanisms and Robotics International Conference is to be held as part of the 2012 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences and Computers and Information in Engineering Conference (DETC-CIE). The conference will take place in Chicago from August 12-15, 2012. Sponsored by the Mechanisms and Robotics Technical Committee, an integral part of the ASME Design Engineering Division, this annual gathering as a series of 36 conferences since 1952 is a premier international meeting in mechanisms, robotics and related fields. The 36th ASME Mechanisms and Robotics International Conference provides an international forum for the exchange of technical and scientific information on the theory and practice of mechanical systems and will feature tutorials and workshops, student mechanism and robot design competitions, keynote and invited speakers, and interactive presentation sessions. Topics will range throughout areas central to mechanical design including kinematics, dynamics, design, computation, robotics, reconfigurable mechanisms, novel mechanisms and robots, and various applications. Authors and presenters have the opportunity to expand international cooperation, understanding, and promotion of efforts and disciplines in the area of mechanisms and robotics. Dissemination of knowledge by presenting research results, new developments, and novel concepts will serve as the foundation upon which the conference program will be developed. Submitted papers will be eligible for a number of awards including the Mechanisms and Robotics Best Paper award, Freudenstein/General Motors Young Investigator award, A.T. Yang Memorial award, and Compliant Mechanisms Theory and Application awards. Likely topics include but are not limited to:
MECH-1 Mechanism Analysis and Synthesis
