Topics/Call fo Papers
The HAICTA 2017 Doctoral Consortium provides doctoral students with an opportunity to have substantive interaction with other young and more experienced researchers regarding their proposed PhD research.
The Consortium will take place one day before the main programme, with the following format: student presentations with plenary discussions, individual meetings with experienced researchers and dinner. Selection for attendance of the Doctoral Consortium will be based on the submitted paper. For more details read the Call for papers/posters section. Papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings as all other accepted papers. Papers must be submitted electronically, via the submission web page. Indicate your submission as a PhD student paper. We will accept papers only in PDF format.
Content Guidelines
The Doctoral Consortium papers will be the basis for detailed discussions at the Consortium, and to get the most out of the discussion, a submitted paper should include the following:
Motivation for the proposed research
Background and related work (with key references)
Description of proposed research including main research questions
Research methodology and proposed experiments (where appropriate)
Particular issues highlighted for discussion.
All papers will be reviewed with respect to the overall quality of presentation, the potential for future impact of the proposed PhD research and the expected benefit to the student from attendance of the Consortium.
