SENSE 2017 - First workshop on Sense, Concept and Entity Representations and their Applications
Topics/Call fo Papers
First workshop on Sense, Concept and Entity Representations and their Applications (SENSE) will be held on April 3-4, 2017 and hosted by the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL) in Valencia, Spain. The workshop will be organised by José Camacho Collados and Mohammad Taher Pilehvar.
The aim of the workshop is to focus on addressing one of the most important limitations of (vector space model) word representation techniques in that they conflate different meanings of a word into a single vector. SENSE brings together researchers in lexical semantics, and NLP in general, to investigate and propose sense representation techniques as well as to discuss effective ways of integrating sense, concept and entity representations into downstream applications.
Invited speakers
Hinrich Schütze (University of Munich)
Roberto Navigli (Sapienza University of Rome)
