EWAD 2017 - Third International Workshop on Enterprise WEB Application Dependency
Topics/Call fo Papers
The vast majority of today’s software systems sprawls along multiple enterprises and serves interactively enormous number of users throughout the Web. Enterprise web applications utilize various web resources and computing paradigms to provide rigorous functionalities using sophisticated architectures involving diverse component models and interfaces. Software dependability research and practices are striving to keep pace with the rapid technology transitions of these web applications. Depending on the application role in everyday life, the cost of unreliable service can sometimes be unaffordable. Critical security risks and threats may emanate beneath the intricate service provisioning of these applications. The cost of security breaching rises with the value and sensitivity of user data manipulated in these applications. Moreover, the continuously increasing third party influences in user private date from manifold service providers across the internet may decrease the public trust in these applications. Strenuous efforts are needed to construct new dependability mechanisms for investigating reliability impairments, security loopholes, performance bottlenecks, and other dependability flaws to suit these applications. This workshop aims to improve the dependability attributes of the enterprise web applications and increase their trust. The objective of the workshop is to aggregate the state-of-the-art techniques addressing application reliability, security, privacy, performance, among other dependability attributes of the contemporary web application structures and enterprise computing paradigms. EWAD 2016 will be held in conjunction with the Mobile Systems and Pervasive Computing Conference (MobiSPC2017) in Leuven, Belgium July 24th-26th, 2017.
