The editors of the special issue propose (but not limit to) the following research directions and topics:
> Dynamic capabilities in different industries of the economy: Does the specific industry influence the formation and application of dynamic capabilities?
> Small and medium enterprises, family business: How do very small (? 10 employees), small (11 to 50 employees), and medium-sized firms (51 to 250 employees) differ in the characteristics of their dynamic capabilities?
> What role do a manager and his/her personal characteristics play in the formation and deployment of dynamic capabilities? How is the relation of dynamic capabilities of a firm and dynamic managerial capabilities? (e.g. Adner & Helfat, 2003)? Which factors influence a dynamic managerial capability?
> A cross-cultural comparison of dynamic capabilities and their microfoundations: Is there a difference in creation, development, and deployment of dynamic capabilities in different countries?
> Concept integration: How can the resource-based theory and the concept of dynamic capabilities be integrated into the theories dominating in Ukraine and other countries of former Warsaw pact (incl. former Soviet Union)?
> Relationships between the concept of dynamic capabilities and other similar (spin-off) concepts: organizational learning, intrapreneurship, absorptive capacity, organizational agility and others.
