The Smart Electric Vehicles and vaNET (SEVNET) 2016 workshop is mainly focused on recent progress and research from both industrial and academic sectors, addressing all the recent innovations, regarding the Electric Vehicles, potential EV to infrastructure communications, optimization of transportation based on wireless sensors and mobile networks.
Highlights:
The event is endorsed by the European Alliance for Innovation, a leading community-based organization devoted to the advancement of innovation in the field of ICT and will be **co-located with the 2nd edition of SmartCity360 Summit**
Publication Full, peer reviewed, articles will be submitted for inclusion to the EAI/Springer book series (EAI/Springer Innovations in Communications and Computing)
Accepted and reviewed authors will be invited to submit extended versions of their articles to Special Issue in EAI Endorsed Transactions on Smart City. Invited papers without review can be presented, however will not be published.
Contributions from authors are welcomed in the following topics:
Smart electric vehicles, parking assistance systems, mobility testing methods, carbon emissions optimization;
Battery charging scheduling and smart-grids integration;
Protocols standardization (on an International and/or European base);
Protocols and algorithms for reducing pollutions and travel costs;
Physical security on-the- road;
Safety of self-driven vehicles and sensors integration;
Optimal charging stations placement;
New and recent technologies for batteries management/implementation;
Roadside and wireless technologies for covering moving vehicles on different ranges (e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, 802.11 families);
IN-Vehicle Ethernet communications;
VANETs for SEVs;
Mobility prediction for future optimizations of SEV nodes.
