The 12th Francophone International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Management (EGC 2012) wll take place in Bordeaux from January 31 till February 3, 2012. EGC aims at gathering researchers in neighbor scientific areas (learning, statistics, data analysis, information systems and databases, knowledge engineering), as well as actors of the industry. The conference is a unique forum to communicate on recent research results, exchange ideas and report on industrial initiatives.
EGC 2012 welcomes contributions in various formats: tutorials, focused workshops, paper presentations, posters and software demonstrations. The EGC 2012 proceedings are published as a RNTI journal special issue. An (English) extended version of high quality papers will subsequently be submitted for an international audience journal. Papers (6 or 12 pages) can be submitted in French or English. The 2012 edition welcomes three types of papers: academic, applied or industrial research, junior researchers (details on who may apply to this latter category will soon be published). The best contributions in each of these categories will be awarded prizes. Papers will be reviewed following a double blind process. Submissions shall be uploaded through the conference website

Author notification and rebuttal: November 11--17, 2011
Final notification: November 21, 2011
Paper final version: December 9, 2011
Software demonstration (new this year: 4 pages)
Demo submission: November 25, 2011
Final notification: December 2, 2011
Demo paper final version: December 9, 2011
