Call for Papers
Special Issue on: “Analysis of Large Complex Networks”
Guest Editors:
Natarajan Meghanathan, Jackson State University, USA
Yenumula Reddy, Grambling State University, USA
Theme and Scope
Network Science deals with the analysis and visualization of large complex network graphs and the development of efficient methods to study the characteristics of networks involving hundreds and thousands of nodes. Network Science falls within the realm of “Big Data Computing” where the Big Data is the larger graphs that model complex real-world networks. This special issue is intended to cover contributions in the theory behind the graph models, algorithms and analysis measures as well as on the use of state-of-the-art tools and cyber infrastructure for network modelling , analysis and visualization.
Topics of Interest
Authors are solicited to contribute to this special Issue by submitting articles that illustrate research results, projects, surveying works and industrial experiences that describe significant advances in the following areas, but are not limited to
? Centrality Measures and Algorithms for Network Analysis
? Community Detection Algorithms
? Analysis of Biological Networks
? Social Network Analysis
? Web Analytics
? Graph Theory Algorithms for Network Science
? Visualization Techniques for Large Network Graphs and Real-World Networks
? Random Graph Models
? Analysis of Citation Networks
? Information Cascades and Diffusion
? Tradeoffs among Network Analysis Measures
? Applications in Wireless Ad hoc Networks and Sensor Networks
? Small-world Networks and Models
? Scale-free Networks and Models
? Simulation and Analysis of Network Graph Models: Comparative Studies
? Tools and Cyber Infrastructure for Network Analysis and Visualization
Notes for Prospective Authors
