ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
***
The 4th International Workshop on Next Generation Green Wireless Networks (Next-GWiN 2016) will take place from 12th to 13th September 2016 in Trinity College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. Next-GWiN 2016 gathers distinguished speakers from various academic and industrial institutions and is targeted towards novice and experienced researchers, PhD students,
and R&D engineers from diverse fields with interest in energy-efficient communications. The program comprises a combination of keynotes, invited talks, and a panel debate, and a student challenge. It addresses research advances relevant to energy efficiency for next generation wireless networks, as well as next generation wireless networks for energy efficiency, focusing on the following areas:
-- 5G architectures and technologies
-- Internet-of-Things (IoT) and smart systems application
-- Self-* networks and highly mobile networks
-- Network virtualization and cloudification

Students will have the opportunity to receive up to 5 ECTS Credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) -- subject to approval by their home institution -- by completing a graded assignment.
STUDENT CHALLENGE

PhD students are invited to submit an abstract and three slides responding to the question "What is your take on Green Communications?" Finalists will give a 3-min presentation and enter to win the Student Challenge Award.
The deadline is the 12th August 2016.
