RCN Fellowship Available (High Priority for Early Career Investigators)
The QoS-SC Workshop is partially sponsored by the Research Coordination Network (RCN)
(https://grait-dm.gatech.edu/) on Big Data/Smart Cities, which is supported by the
National Science Foundation (NSF). Up to three US-based authors of accepted full-length
papers will be awarded RCN Fellowship for Big Data/Smart Cities (worth $2000), to present
their paper at the QoS-SC Workshop and to participate in the CIC conference. The RCN
Fellowship funds may be used for conference registration and travel support. Early career
investigators will have priority in receiving the RCN Fellowship.
Selected high-quality papers from the workshop will be invited to extend and submit to the
top quality journal special issue in the area

OVERVIEW
---
The Smart Cities vision aims at exploiting advances in information and communication
technologies to improve the quality of urban services, and through it, enhance the
quality of life. Quality in the context of Smart City services can include performance,
availability, reliability, scalibility, interoperability, reusability, security, privacy,
pricing and user experience.
We are interested in papers that address Quality of Service (QoS) related issues in the
context of Smart City systems, applications and services including, but not limited to the
following application domains:
Intelligent Traffic Management
Efficient Energy Management
Smart Transportation
Smart Buildings
Internet of Things for Smart Cities
E-Government Services
Emergency Management
Social Computing & Networks
Environment and Urban Monitoring
E-Health Systems

PAPER SUBMISSION
---
We invite original research papers that have not been previously published and are not
currently under review for publication elsewhere. Submitted papers should be no longer
than 8 pages in two-column IEEE proceeding format.
All contributions should be submitted in pdf or MS Word format at
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=qossc2016
All papers will be refereed by at east two members of the program committee of the Workshop.
Accepted papers will be presented in the Workshop sessions of the conference.
