Learning space design strategies to enrichstudent experiences
Without a commitment to innovative student experiences universities cannot expect to retain students. With no cap on admissions and the
potential for deregulation looming, traditional methods of teaching and learning will no longer set a university aside. Instead, new techniques must be implemented to establish long term competitive advantage.
As digital disruption becomes more apparent engaging with students becomes harder. Universities must start thinking of how both virtual and physical spaces can enrich student attributes.
'We cannot provide brilliant and relevant university education by pretending we teach in small 19th-century universities. We need programs to make systemic change. We cannot rely only on a cohort of legendary teachers as the answer.'
- Professor Margaret Gardner AO, Vice-Chancellor, Monash University
