Australasian Computing Doctoral Consortium (ACDC) will be held in Melbourne on 4-6 July 2017, organized by Deakin University. ACDC was established in 1996 in Wollongong. Now in its 21st year, the conference is a key forum for international researchers and industry experts to discuss the latest trends, breakthroughs and challenges in information security and privacy. ACDC 2017 will be co-located with Cyber Security Winter School (CSWS 2017), which is a free event held at Deakin University on 7-8 July 2017.
The Australasian Computing Doctoral Consortium (ACDC) provides an opportunity for doctoral students to present their research and early results and receive advice and constructive commentary from research experts. Submissions are invited from current PhD students in computing who would benefit from feedback on their research by a panel of established researchers. The consortium will operate in a workshop format. Up to ten applicants will be invited to present their work during ACDC 2017, and experts will be invited to attend the presentations and discuss each student's work. These selected applicants will receive complimentary ACSW 2017 student conference registration (if they are not presenting a paper in the other conferences), although ACDC will not be able to provide travel or accommodation costs. Finally, PhD students who wish to attend, but have not submitted a paper, are welcome --- however, be sure to notify the organisers well in advanced since numbers are limited.
ACDC offers delegates an excellent opportunity to:
Exchange research experiences
Explore new trends and challenges within the field
Stimulate new research activities
Forge new research collaborations
Close the academic?industry gap
