The ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) is an international forum for the exchange of experience and knowledge among researchers and developers concerned with virtual reality software and technology.
VRST will provide an opportunity for VR researchers to interact, share new results, show live demonstrations of their work, and discuss emerging directions for the field. The event is sponsored by ACM SIGCHI and SIGGRAPH.
VRST 2016 will be held in Munich, Germany in the beautiful capital city of Bavaria. Munich ? an open-minded city with traditions, culture, high-tech and Oktoberfest, the world’s greatest beer festival. The three Pinakotheken with famous works of art of all eras and Germanys biggest technical museum are located in the inner city. Aficionados of Bavarian beer and brass band music will enjoy the Hofbräuhaus while fans of high-class automobiles can visit the BMW World, directly placed next to the Olympic Park with its famous tent roof constructions.
The event will be hosted by Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ), the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), and the Technical University of Munich (TUM)
VRST 2016 aims at bringing together VR researchers from around the world to present the state-of-the-art advances in this ever-growing dynamic area. The conference will be held at LRZ (North of Munich), which is the largest general purpose supercomputing centre in Germany and includes a state-of-the-art VR facility among the many services the centre provides to researchers and academic users.
