IEEE CCNC-RSW 2011
January 9, 2011, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
http://rsw.cs.tut.fi/
The 2nd Consumer Communications and Network Conference (CCNC) Research Student Workshop is open to submissions and participants from the full range of CCNC interests. It is organized by IEEE members who are themselves actively engaged in research and study. The venue offers a possibility for researchers, and especially research students, to present and discuss part of the whole of their research topic in an inspiring atmosphere with their peers and experts from industry and academia. The workshop is held in conjunction with the IEEE Communications Society's flagship CCNC conference (http://www.ieee-ccnc.org/2011/).
Participants have the opportunity to present the topic of their research, progress so far, the structure of future work and the state of hypothesis development and testing. This makes the workshop particularly suitable for post-graduate students as a doctoral consortium, although it is open to all submissions following a structured study approach. Papers are selected based on their novel contribution, and also the clarity and quality of research topic outline and approach discussion. Each workshop participant shall present their research topic concisely, after which a (potentially longer) discussion will include peer and expert critique and guidance.
Topics of interest mirror those of the CCNC 2010 conference including, but not limited to:
- Consumer networks
- Enabling technologies
- Pervasive applications and services
- Overlay networks and federated systems
- Communications for distributed computing
- Security and trust in communications
- Consumer communications behaviour and modelling
- Network modeling and simulation
- Performance evaluation
Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE CCNC 2011 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore® providing authors fulfill the requirements described on the workshop webpage (http://rsw.cs.tut.fi/publish.html).
