The American Real Estate Society (ARES), founded in 1985,
is an association of real estate thought leaders. Members
are drawn from academia and the profession at large, both
in the United States and internationally. The Society is
dedicated to producing and disseminating knowledge related
to real estate decision making and the functioning of real
estate markets.
PARTICIPATION:
We welcome your papers for presentation, proposals for
themes for panels and special paper sessions. Sign up
for the meeting at:

The best rates are now through January 15, 2011, and have
not changed since ARES 2010 meetings. As we get closer to
the Annual Meeting, the price goes up.
Travel support from the James R. Webb ARES Foundation is
available for Ph.D. students participating in Wednesday's
Doctoral Seminar. For further information, contact:

TRAVEL/ACCOMODATIONS:
Getting to and Staying There - Sea - Tac Airport (SEA) has
nonstop flights from many USA, Canadian, European, and
Asian gateways. Light rail service is available from the
airport to downtown Seattle. Avoid hotel parking fees;
daily car rentals are available in downtown Seattle.
Make your airline reservations early; the Association
of American Geographers:
http://www.aag.org
is meeting nearby so there will be heavy competition for
airline seats.
Hotel Room Reservations/Room reservations can be made via
the link on the ARES website. Most Standard rooms have
water views and they are $207/night. Seattle room taxes are
15.6 percent. High speed in room Internet access is
included in the room rate.
