FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus (UCY)
The research centre is one of the constituent parts of the University of Cyprus. The main scope of the centre is to create a strong scientific research team in order to play a key role in research and technological development activities in the field of sustainable energy within Cyprus and at international level with the aim of contributing to the achievement of the relevant energy and environment objectives set out by Europe.
The main scope is to become a centre of excellence in energy that will act as a structure where world-standard R&D work can be performed, in terms of measurable scientific production (including training) and/or technological innovation. The centre further comprises of different laboratories:.
The Research Centre for Sustainable Energy is located at the New University campus (Panepistimioupoli), which is 10 minutes away from the main city of Nicosia.
